TERRAPURA was formed by a couple of Chilean entrepreneurs, Alfonso Undurraga and Jose Miguel Ovalle, whom after years of friendship joined their viticulture dreams in creating this winery during mid 2005. Both of them carry in their blood the love for wine production and the passion for the land.
Alfonso Undurraga grew and formed himself professionally at Undurraga Winery, which was family owned; meanwhile, Jose Miguel Ovalle, as a winemaker and viticulturist, has been bound to the production of quality wines in Chile and abroad. Their vast experience in the wine industry has made them knowledgeable in the best valleys and grapes. They have also known how to establish close ties with their clients all over the world.
In the union of these both personalities and history, the Terrapura project is developed, which focuses on the authenticity search of Chilean wines, in the value of the magic of the land, the charm for the diversity of our geographical landscape and the recovery of our origins.
