Color: Intense red with purple highlights. Aroma: Complex and expressive, subtly mixed with aromas of violets and cherries, in balance with the dark chocolate notes and toasted flavor from its oak aging. Palate: Elegant and balanced. Warm, Sweet and smooth impact with marked tannins. Mouth-filling. His weight on the palate translates cherry notes into jam and sweet tobacco. Fresh acidity which complements the heat of the alcohol strength, proving endless pleasant sensations and honest aromas in the palate. Lenghty finish.
Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2010 Gran Reserva sees 24 months in French oak and offers a fairly generic Argentinean Cabernet nose with overt vanilla-infused scents. The palate is ripe, sweet and powerful although I prefer the elegance and the freshness displayed by the more personable Cabernet 2011. The finish is a little clipped but at least it is fresh and packed full of fruit. Drink now-2015.”,,, (Oct 2012)

SEPTIMA Winery’s vineyards are located in the area of Agrelo, in the wonderful province of Mendoza by the majestic Andes mountain range. The winery offers a wide variety of still and sparkling Argentine wines. Its architecture and construction style, the materials used and the arrangement of spaces make the place an indisputable reference among the recent generation of wineries in Mendoza. The wine cellar of 5500 m2 has a capacity of 3,000,000 bottles. The construction has been inspired by the ancestral dry-stone wall system, a technique to build walls widely used by the native huarpes that consists in stacking up natural stones. SEPTIMA Winery, with over 150 ha of cultivated land and balanced levels of production, offers a wide range of products for delicious sparkling wine and good wine lovers.
