Wine maker notes
Burgo Viejo Red Wine is born through a careful selection of the best moment for harvest followed by thorough vinification to extract the highest potential from the grapes in an effort to achieve a fresh powerful fruit-like young wine that will satisfy a wide range of palates.
Enjoy it with cheese and red meat.
Six families of farmers dreamt of winemaking and founded Bodegas Burgo Viejo in 1987 and after several cooperative attempts SAT BURGO VIEJO nº 7659 was finally brought to life.
Burgo Viejo´s main asset has always been the exquisite winemaking process of grapes collected from its own vineyards throughout the years back to the times when we were just a wine cellar selling bulk wine until present day when Burgo Viejo wines have become global and are exported to distant places like Japan, Denmark, and the U.S.
Our experienced and skilled winemakers learned how to improve crops by creating today´s modern Bodegas de Familia Burgo Viejo SL winery back in 2004.
