Bright, golden colour. Beautifully evolved nose of aromas of pineapple and mango on a palate of honey and delicate vanilla-like hints of the oak. Its mouth is round and generous, giving a feeling of sweetness and it is balanced in acidity with a long-lasting freshness on the finish.
Wine Advocate 87 points - The 2011 Chardonnay Emphasis was oak aged for six months. Despite the modest oak aging, this does have a notable vanilla and caramel overlay on opening. It also shows nice depth of fruit underneath the caramel and vanilla, however, along with some acidity that cuts through the oak. It is a vintage that will meet many expectations and, given that it just arrived here, it may yet integrate the oak a bit better. The freshness lurking underneath makes it worth taking a chance on, and it may even be entitled to a small uptick. It does otherwise drink nicely now. There were 5,000 bottles produced. Drink now-2015. (Apr 2013)

The aim of Pavlidis Estate is the production of premium wines, with pleasing aroma and flavor characteristics but also with a distinct and recognizable character. To fulfill this goal, the Estate has planted 60 hectares of privately-owned vineyards in order to achieve a complete control of the quality of its production. In these vineyards, native and international winegrape varieties are grown with the aim to reveal the unique characteristics of our region, a terroir used from ancient times until today for vine cultivation.
