This full-bodied wine offers archetypal varietal scents of wild berries with notes of spicy pepper notes. The firm tannins and rich texture will soften and evolve with proper cellaring.
Wine Spectator 90 points - A suave version, offering gamy dark cherry and wild berry fruit, fine tannins and fresh acidity, with nuances of of incense, tobacco and wild herb gracing the finish. Drink now through 2018.—N.W (Jun 19 2013)

His 61 acres of vineyards are planted on medium texture volcanic soil located in Aglianico del Vulture on the slopes of Monte Vulture.
