A well-structured red that offers the spiciness anddepth associated with Syrah from Walla Walla, this wine presents aromas of dark red cherries and flavors of dates, raspberries and figs with hints of cassis, spices and green olive.
Wine Advocate 90 points - A worthy follow up to the gorgeous 2010, the 2011 Syrah is a 100% Syrah that was aged in a scant 11% new French oak, with the balance being completely neutral barrels. Fermented with 45% whole cluster, it offers up a Northern Rhone-like bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, mineral, violets and underbrush to go with a soft, supple and completely delicious palate. Showing no hard edges, excellent purity and a solid focus, it is more supple and approachable than the 2010 and will delight over the coming 5-6 years. Drink now-2018.  (Jun 2013)

Wine Spectator 90 points - Taut, vibrant and distinctive, offering green olive and green tea overtones around a lean core of blackberry and tar. Finishes with snap. Best from 2015 through 2019.—H.S. (Oct 16 2013)
