Antaño Crianza is a ruby color Rioja, with an upper-middle layer, limpid and bride. The feeling in the nose has reduced its own rest in the bottle, to finally show potent and complex between the first aromas of the varieties that compose it and the wood that make it older giving it some spicy aromas In the mouth is something tannic and slightly cinaro, giving way to a nice wine with a long end in the mouth complex and velvety.
Bodegas Antano is located in the historic and picturesque town of Briones, in the Rioja Alta sub-division of the Rioja region. The soil throughout Rioja is calcareous. Vines are naturally stressed in this type of soil, developing extensive root systems. Traditionally, vineyards in Rioja Alta were planted predominately with Tempranillo, a noble grape which the Spanish regard as their best red varietal. This native grape is extremely well suited to the region’s sub climate, which is influenced by both the Atlantic and Mediterranean Oceans. At Antano, Tempranillo is also blended with Garnacha (Grenache), Mazuelo (Carignan) and the indigenous Graciano. Bodegas Antano honors tradition while using modern enological innovation to produce some of the most extraordinary values in Rioja today.
