Ruby red color. A complete bouquet of cherry jam, sweet spices, licorice, coffee and cacao. Balanced in the mouth; spicy minerality and great persistence.
Wine Advocate 92 points - The 2008 Serpico (Aglianico) is dark, powerful and intense. Black cherries, tar, asphalt and menthol are some of the nuances that emerge from this vibrant, tightly coiled Serpico. The 2008 will require cellaring, but the wine has a brilliant track record of repaying patience. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026. (Jun 2011)
In the heart of the Taurasi zone, our centuries-old vines – “patriarchs” of Campanian viticulture – offer timeless emotions. Serpico is the expression of this unique territory.

|Feudi di San Gregorio, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is Campania’s premier winemaking estate. Situated in the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania's Irpinia region, this highly-acclaimed winery was established in 1986. Since then, it has aggressively tapped into the enormous potential of Campania's unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Aglianico.
