Fresh and aromatic flavors of cassis, tea leaves, bergamot and citrus highlight the berry notes in this smooth and subtle rose. The creamy mousse enhances the rich mouthfeel and carries flavors of frais de bois and a hint of citrus on the long and pleasant finish.
Founded in 1982 by winemaker Milla Handley, Handley Cellars is located in the Anderson Valley appellation of Mendocino County, California. Milla Handley and co-winemaker Randy Schock make key winemaking and vinification decisions such as percentage of whole berries, type of fermentation yeast, punch down regimen, length of fermentation time and barrel type based on vintage. She and Randy are fermentation specialists and will use up to 20 different cultured or natural yeasts per harvest. Milla and Randy prefer to work with winemakers who practice sustainable farming and all 30 acres of the Handley estate are CCOF certified organic.

|(88% Pinot Noir, 12% Chardonnay). The Pinot Noir fruit was crushed and macerated on its skins for four hours to extract color after which it was transferred to stainless steel tanks to compete fermentation.
The Chardonnay was whole-cluster pressed to tank and fermented in barrel with battonage and full malolactic.
The wine remained on its lees for several months to add complexity and depth and the blend aged for 19 months in bottle before disgorgement.
|Handley Cellars is a small (about 14,000 cases per year) family-owned winery in California's Mendocino County, bonded in 1982. We are located at the northwest end of the Anderson Valley on 59 acres of the original Holmes Ranch. Still standing on the property are the now-refurbished ranch house, barn, and the original water tower.
At Handley Cellars we offer a wide variety of wines that complement today's diverse cuisine with its worldwide influences. Handley's winemaker Milla Handley seeks to make balanced wines that possess distinctive varietal characteristics, wines that reflect the soil and climate in which they were grown.
