| Located in the premier growing
region of Paso Robles,
the EOS Estate Winery has
become a leading producer
of award-winning varietal wines. The
spectacular 104,000 square foot
Romanesque facility is surrounded by
700 acres of beautiful estate vineyards.
The winery is named after EOS, the "Goddess of the dawn” in Greek
mythology. According to legend,
every morning EOS lifted the sun
over the horizon to start a new day.
The production of EOS wines is
unique in many ways. Prior to
planting, each vineyard row is deep
trenched to the depth of five feet to
allow water and roots to effectively
penetrate the compacted earth.Throughout
the growing season, special attention
is paid to leaf removal and crop
thinning. Drip irrigation is employed
for complete control of
water intake by the vines.
A 24,000 square foot, temperature
and humidity-controlled barrel
storage facility was built in 1999 to
accommodate the winery’s growing
number of French and American
oak barrels, necessary for the production
of world-class wines.
All EOS Estate wines are handcrafted
by Steve Felten, Director of
Winemaking. Steve concentrates on
producing food-friendly wines that
emphasize balance, elegance, and
pure fruit flavor.
