Wine Advocate 89 points - The 2011 The Violinist Verdelho presents a moderate intensity of pear and warm apple fruit aromas with hints of white pepper and fresh hay. Dry, rich, full-bodied, creamy textured and with good flavor concentration in the mouth, it has a long finish. Drink it now through 2013. (Dec 2011)
This wine shows great intensity with a layer of creaminess, seamless balance, beautiful fruit salad and tropical, peach focused fruit characters. We assume youíve finished your 2010 Violinists, so if youíve been hanging out for this, itís worth the wait.
The Violinist is named for the days when Sarah was made to play the violin right-handed in school, so that she didn't poke her right-handed neighbour's in the eye with her bow.
