Domaine Fournier is one of the most important estates in the Sancerre area. Their 150 acres of vineyards are spread across the Sancerre appellation and include top sites in the villages of Verdigny, Bue and Maimbray, which enable them to produce wines of sophistication and complexity. Their state-of-the-art winery is designed to minimize handling of the grapes and allow for careful selection on sorting tables. The estate is directed by Claude Fournier, who is also the winemaker. He is dedicated to producing top quality wines of great elegance and finesse.

Soil : Marl + clayey-limestone.

Vinification : Maceration for a period of 2 to 3 weeks, pumping over 4 to 6 times a day, vacuum system without pump.
Maturation in tanks to keep the fruits.
Alcohol content : 12,5° to 13°.
Total acidity : 3 to 4 g/l.
Residual sugars : 1 g/l.
|The 20-25 year old vines are planted on soil of marl and clayey limestone. Fermented for three weeks in stainless steel and matured in tank.
