A wine of great character which ages well, with an intense ruby red colour, which in time develops garnet tones. It has a pleasant “wine” smell, which with ageing becomes ethereal; it is full bodied, with a fresh, dry taste. It comes from the barbera grapes of the Einaudi vineyards surrounding Dogliani in the areas of San Luigi and Santa Lucia. Slightly tannic, full bodied, it has an alcohol content of 13,5 – 14 % and a pleasingly harmonious taste, perfected with time.
