Wine maker notes
The grapes are hand picked and placed into cases during the second half of September.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of max 25°C in order to preserve the typical arome of the range.
The wines remain in inox until the end of February following the harvest.

The Marchesi Fumanelli family has produced wines in Veneto, Italy since the 1470’s and is currently the largest single landholder in the region. Today, they focus their attention on producing terroir-driven interpretations of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Classico Superiore and Terso Bianco Veneto.
The vines are planted on southeast facing hillsides at 95-450 feet and are an average age of 40-50 years old. Soils are a mixture of lime and clay at the foot of the hill and chalky clay at the higher elevations. The varieties planted on the estate include Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinari with small amounts of Garganega and Trebbiano. The trellising features the traditional Veronese pergola and spalliera systems with vines closely spaced at 2,500 per hectare and yields are kept low. The wines are produced exclusively from estate fruit using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. The Marchesi Fumanelli family seeks to preserve fruit and terroir characteristics while retaining a sense of regional tradition. The wines are concentrated, flavorful, complex and unique.
