Berger Gruner Veltliner comes from the Kremstal, Austria, made by the husband and wife team Erich and Maria Berger, along with their family. On their modest, yet beautiful, estate, they grow a few grape varieties, but their basic Gruner Veltliner, with it's pop-top and big green bottle, is most often on local dinner tables. Gruner is known for its ability to pair well with food, and this bottle does not disappoint! It is fresh, and full of floral and mineral flavors, with a subtle hint of citrus. (if you are a fan of Wachau whites take note: similarities exist, and prices are almost always lower in Kremstal!)
