This is a big, ripe Merlot with overtones of black cherry, plum fruit and a little dusty currant. Substantial but supple. Medium tannins allow this wine to drink well over the next 3 to 4 years. It has a type of earthy fruit in the mouth and nose, which gives the wine a lingering finish. Open one hour before drinking to give the fruit and oak an opportunity to develop. It would pair quite well with roasted salmon, hamburgers, or even a hearty pasta dish. 3,500 cases produced.
