Chenin Blanc is South Africa’s most widely planted varietal and the Cape’s signature white. This fresh, vibrant version offers luscious flavors of tropical fruit, melon and honeyed pear, backed by bright citrus flavors. Lively peppery notes and an underlying mineral character shine through on the finish.
Wine Spectator 87 points - A rounded, easy style, with green plum and pear fruit at the core, laced with a hint of makrut lime that keeps this honest through the finish. Drink now. 9,755 cases imported.-JM  (May 31 2015)

Vinous 88 points - Pale bright yellow. Sexy aromas of honey, flowers and stone fruits show attractive peppery lift. Supple, rich and lightly saline in an easy-drinking style; this should be versatile at the dinner dinner. A touch of wood (2% of the wine was fermented and aged on its lees in used French oak) and 4.5 g/l residual sugar give this wine good texture. Try it with a beetroot salad with goat cheese and candied walnuts, or with grilled langoustines.  (Jun 2015)

Producer
Leading the world in sustainability, South Africa is largely considered to be the greenest wine region on earth. Indaba wines are crafted in the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest, yet most diverse of the six plant kingdoms. The look and spirit of Indaba reflects both South Africa’s position as a leader in sustainable production and the handcrafted approach found in the country’s art world. A commitment to social responsibility has always been a key part of the Indaba philosophy. A portion of the brand’s global sales is allocated to the Indaba Education Fund, a fully accredited 501c3, which supports early childhood development by providing infrastructure, learning materials and teacher training at schools established for wineland workers’ children. The Indaba range is comprised of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Mosaic (red blend). Stylistically fresh, juicy and approachable, these wines are food friendly and offer a bottling for every palate. Consistently garnering “Best Value” and “Best Buy” accolades, Indaba Wines present character and structure well beyond its price.
